Young Adult Transition- Techie for Life
A couple weeks ago, I visited a young adult transition program in St. George, Utah called Techie for Life.
Techie for Life is a residential program for young men and women who have various degrees of social and emotional challenges. Many have, but are not limited to, an NLD or ASD diagnosis. Techie for Life prepares its students for careers and provides vocational training in various different fields including STEM. Students may enroll in the local college and pursue a degree as well. The program also prepares them for independent living.
Techie for Life best serves clients who fit any of the following-
Executive Functioning or Social or Life Skills
Failure to launch
Supportive College Environment
Quirky in the best ways
If you are currently working with or know of a young adult who you feel may benefit by enrolling at Techie for Life, contact Debbie Grygla in admissions at Debbie@techieforlife.com or call (623) 703-2269. The site can be found at https://techieforlife.com. You can also refer your family directly to me, Oakes Hunnewell, at www.hunnewelled.com.
