Learning Differences

Psycho-educational evaluation We have a very successful record of helping students with learning differences find schools that address their needs. Our research has helped us identify the many institutions that have effective programs designed for specific learning issues, from ADD/ADHD to dyslexia, from Asperger's Syndrome to physical handicaps. When we work with students who demonstrate a need for special accommodations, we will match the students with the appropriate schools that can, in many cases, individually tailor their programs for the student's benefit.

We can also assist in assessing whether a student has learning difficulties that are inhibiting his or her progress and suggest ways to address them, either in the student's current school or at the colleges being considered.

Our group often works with students who come to us with IEPs or Psycho-educational evaluation that suggest a need for special accommodations in the classroom. Many students already receive them while others discover a need for them as we continue to work together.

Much of our time, away from our students, is spent visiting colleges and universities around the country. In doing so, we research which colleges are best suited for what type of student. Throughout the country, there are many institutions that make it a point to have developed programs that address the needs of those students with learning differences. Some offer the service as part of the experience while others offer them in addition.

When we work with students who demonstrate a need for special accommodations, we will match the students with institutions who will not only offer those accommodations but, if need be, who will also avail themselves to the student once the student has been accepted.
